Black Hills Doula

A passionate teacher, I continue my love of teaching within the perimeters of a doula. I do this by exploring birth plan options, discussing labor preferences, and providing continuous physical and mental support throughout the labor process.

 

I also clearly adhere to a doula's scope of practice. Because all women and all birth experiences are unique, it is my goal to help women have birth experiences they can remember with happiness and excitement.



 

My services include:

 

• An initial interview (free of charge) to see if we are compatible.

• Two meetings for questions, support, and practice before your baby is born. We will explore birth preferences, practice physical  comfort measures, discuss the process of labor and delivery, and of course get to know each other.

• If desired, attending one prenatal appointment with you and your healthcare provider.

• Once labor begins, I will be with you when you make the call. I will meet you at your home or the location of your delivery (if different)—whatever you wish.

• Staying for one hour after the baby is born.

• If desired, visiting one-two days after your baby is born. 

• One postpartum visit within six weeks after the birth of your baby.

• Availability via phone, text message, and email, as well as being on-call two weeks prior and after your estimated due date.
